Where to find information about Us and Our products

You can find everything you need to know about Us, Objets d’Art (“We”, “Us” and “Our”), and Our products on Our website or from Our sales staff before you order. We also confirm the key information to you in writing after you order by email.

We only accept orders when We've received payment  

We contact you to confirm We've received your order and send you a confirmation email.  

Sometimes We reject orders

Sometimes We reject orders, for example, because a product is unexpectedly out of stock, because you are located outside Our delivery areas, as stated on Our website, or because the product was mispriced by Us. When this happens, We let you know as soon as possible and refund any sums you have paid.

We charge you when you order

Payments must be received in full before the dispatch of any jewellery item.

Custom Orders – Bespoke or Custom Jewellery

Custom-designed jewellery is made specifically for you and requires full payment of the total price. Once you have placed your order you will have 72 hours in which you may request any changes or cancel the order. Custom orders generally take two (2) weeks for completion.

For custom-made wedding rings and signet rings, if you change your mind after the 72-hour cancellation period has expired, you may be entitled to a partial refund of 70% of the purchase price, provided the item is returned in its original condition within 14 days of delivery. This partial refund policy applies only to unaltered custom wedding rings and signet rings and does not extend to other types of custom jewellery.

Jewellery that has been personalised (e.g., engraved or custom-designed) is non-returnable and non-refundable. Please review all personalisation details carefully before placing your order.

Repair Services

We offer repair services for jewellery purchased from Us, including stone tightening, clasp repairs, and polishing. Warranty-covered repairs are free, while out-of-warranty repairs are available at competitive rates.

Payment Methods

Payments for your orders are processed securely through Shopify. For a comprehensive list of accepted payment methods, please refer to the information provided on our website. We strive to ensure that our payment process is safe and efficient, offering you a convenient shopping experience.

We pass on some increases in VAT

If the rate of VAT changes between your order date and the date We supply the product, We adjust the rate of VAT that you pay, unless you have already paid in full before the change in the rate of VAT takes effect.

Shipping and Delivery

All jewellery items are shipped using insured delivery services to ensure they reach you safely. Shipping costs and estimated delivery times will be calculated at checkout.

International Shipping. We do not accept orders for international shipping.  We will only ship within the United Kingdom.

We're not responsible for delays outside Our control

If Our supply of your product is delayed by an event outside Our control, such as delays caused by Royal Mail, We contact you as soon as possible to let you know and do what We can to reduce the delay. As long as We do this, We won't compensate you for the delay, but if the delay is likely to be substantial you can contact Us on info@objetsdartjewellery.co.uk or on 01428 643982 to end the contract and receive a refund for any products you have paid for, but not received.

Products can vary slightly from their pictures

Product Descriptions. We strive to ensure that all product descriptions, images, and details provided on Our website are accurate and reflective of the jewellery pieces We offer. Please note that variations in colour and appearance may occur due to lighting conditions and the display settings of your device.

A product's true colour may not exactly match that shown on your device, in Our marketing, or its packaging may be slightly different. Because Our products are handmade, all sizes, weights, capacities, dimensions and measurements indicated on Our website can vary slightly.

Material Authenticity. All jewellery items are crafted from the materials specified in their descriptions, such as gold, silver, platinum, or gemstones. We guarantee the authenticity of all precious metals and stones used in Our products. Certificates of authenticity will be provided upon request for select items.

Care and Maintenance

To ensure the longevity of your jewellery, We recommend following the care instructions provided on our website. Regular cleaning and proper storage will help maintain the beauty and durability of your pieces.

You're responsible for making sure your measurements are accurate

If We're making or supplying the product to measurements you provide, you're responsible for making sure those measurements are correct. Find information and tips on how to measure by contacting Our team on info@objetsdartjewellery.co.uk or on 01428 643982.  Alternatively you are welcome to come into our shop for an accurate measurement.

If you bought online or over the telephone, you have a legal right to change your mind.

If you have purchased an item online, you have the right to change your mind and cancel your purchase within 14 days from the day you, or someone you nominate, receives the item. To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision to cancel the order within the 14-day period. Upon cancellation, you will receive a full refund, including the standard delivery costs. Please note that this right does not apply to goods that are made to your specifications or are clearly personalised.

Refund Adjustments for Resized Items

If you return an item that has been resized by Us or on Our behalf, We will deduct the cost of resizing services from your refund amount. The resizing fee deduction will be clearly itemised in your refund confirmation. This applies whether the resizing was performed at the time of original purchase or during a subsequent service appointment. If the resizing cost equals or exceeds the original purchase price, no refund will be due.

Exchanges. Exchanges are subject to availability. If you wish to change an item for a different size or model, please contact Us to discuss this request.

How to let Us know. To let Us know you want to change your mind, contact Our team on info@objetsdartjewellery.co.uk or on 01428 643982.

You have to return the product at your own cost. You have to return your product and any free gifts provided with it to Us within 14 days of your telling Us you have changed your mind. Returns are at your own cost, unless We offered free returns when you bought the product.

You can:

-          bring the product to Our store on 2 High Street, Haslemere, Surrey, GU27 2LY. You will need your email receipt and the card you paid with; or

-          send the product back to Us, using an established delivery service. If you do this you should keep a receipt or other evidence from the delivery service that proves you have sent it and when you sent it. If you don’t do this and We don’t receive the goods at all, or within a reasonable time, We won't refund you the price. For help with returns, including Our collection arrangements for products which can't be posted, contact Our team on info@objetsdartjewellery.co.uk or on 01428 643982.

We reduce your refund if you have used or damaged a product. If you handle the product in a way which would not be acceptable in-store, We reduce your refund, to compensate Us for its reduced value. For example, We reduce your refund if the product's condition is not "as new", price tags have been removed, the product-branded packaging is damaged or accessories are missing. In some cases, because of the way you have treated the product, no refund may be due.

When and how We refund you. If you tell Us you've changed your mind about a product that hasn't been delivered or one that We're collecting from you, We refund you as soon as possible and within 14 days. If you're sending your product back to Us, We refund you within 14 days of receiving it (or receiving evidence you've sent it to Us). We refund you by the method you used for payment. We don't charge a fee for the refund.

What happens if there is a defect in your product?

If there is a defect in your product or in the manufacturing process, then you are entitled to a full refund and We will provide you with a pre-paid postage return label.  Once We have received the product and We have inspected the claimed defect, We will process your refund.

You have rights if there is something wrong with your product

If you think there is something wrong with your product, you must either bring it into our store or contact Us on info@objetsdartjewellery.co.uk or on 01428 643982 within 30 days of your purchase.  

We honour Our legal duty to provide you with products that are as described to you on Our website and that meet all the requirements imposed by law.

Warranty and Repairs

Warranty: We offer a one-year warranty covering manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, or unauthorised repairs.

Repair Services: After the warranty period, repair services are available for a fee. Please contact Us for more information on Our repair services and associated costs.

We can change products and these terms

Changes We can always make. We can always change a product:

·         to reflect changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements ; and

·         to make minor technical adjustments and improvements. These are changes that don't affect your use of the product.

We contact you in advance to tell you We're suspending supply, unless the problem is urgent or an emergency. If We suspend supply, or tell you We're going to suspend supply, you can contact us to end the contract and We'll refund any sums you've paid in advance for products you won't receive.

We can stop providing a product. We will let you know and will refund any sums you've paid in advance for products which won't be provided.

We don't compensate you for all losses caused by Us or Our products

We're responsible for losses you suffer caused by Us breaking this contract unless the loss is unexpected; caused by a delaying event outside Our control, avoidable by you or is a business loss.

We use your personal data as set out in Our Privacy Policy

You have several options for resolving disputes with Us

Our complaints policy. Please contact Us on info@objetsdartjewellery.co.uk or on 01428 643982 and We will do Our best to resolve any problems you have with Us or Our products.

Resolving disputes without going to court. Alternative dispute resolution is an optional process where an independent body considers the facts of a dispute and seeks to resolve it, without you having to go to court.

You can go to court. These terms are governed by English law and wherever you live you can bring claims against Us in the English courts. If you live in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring claims against Us in the courts of the country you live in. We can claim against you in the courts of the country you live in.

Other important terms apply to Our contract

We can transfer Our contract with you, so that a different organisation is responsible for supplying your product. We'll contact you to let you know if We plan to do this. If you're unhappy with the transfer you can contact Us on info@objetsdartjewellery.co.uk or on 01428 643982 to end the contract and We will refund you any payments you've made in advance for products not provided.

Nobody else has any rights under this contract. This contract is between you and Us. Nobody else can enforce it and neither of Us will need to ask anybody else to sign-off on ending or changing it.

If a court invalidates some of this contract, the rest of it will still apply. If a court or other authority decides that some of these terms are unlawful, the rest will continue to apply.

Even if We delay in enforcing this contract, We can still enforce it later. We might not immediately chase you for not doing something (like paying) or for doing something you're not allowed to, but that doesn’t mean We can't do it later.
